Geographic Information Systems

Geographic Information Systems (GIS) is a powerful computer mapping tool that Natural Resources Consulting (NRC) regularly employs to support virtually all of our projects.  With the use of GIS, we can access information quickly and accurately. Questions like “how many acres of mapped wetland exist on this property?” and “how many structures are within 1000 feet of a utility corridor?” can be quickly answered.

NRC GIS specialists are highly advanced in the application of GIS software and, unlike most other GIS practitioners, they have education and experience in the natural sciences.  Using this unusually broad technical basis of knowledge, our GIS specialists work creatively and efficiently with Project Managers to resolve project challenges through highly effective GIS applications.
